Our next trip to Tunica is July 27-28. The $69 pp/dbl price, $89 single, includes transportation, visits to three casinos and two meals. Pickups are at FiftyForward Donelson Station and Exit 196, Bellevue. Call 231-1235 for more information.

We have a BuyOneGetOne (BOGO) progressive lunch on Saturday, July 24. Appetizers will be at the James K. Polk home, lunch at the Athenaeum, desserts at Rippavilla. Cost is $60 for the first person, free for the companion. This price includes all the food, the transportation and tours of all three homes.

The next Harrah’s Casino trip (Metropolis, Ill.) is August 12. For the member price of $15 you get transportation and a buffet.

A second August trip, beginning Aug. 28, is an eight-day Alaskan Cruise. Ports of call are Vancouver, Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay National Park, College Fjord and Whittier. Cost depends upon cabin type and ranges from $2,106 to $2,956 pp/dbl. At this time, I will have to call for availability.

Our French Riviera trip is September 9-16. You will visit Nice, Ventimiglia, San Remo, Grasse, Perfumerie, St. Paul De Vence, Flower Market, Villefranche, Rothschild Villa and Gardens, St. Tropez, Cannes, Monaco and the Oceanographic Museum. Cost (including air) is $2,649 pp/dbl. Deposit is $250 pp. Final balance is due July 9.

A trip that has been recently added is the Civil Rights Discovery Tour, September 20-25. Cost is $949 pp/dbl for members. This is a very comprehensive tour, covering just about all the important events of that movement. Please call Janice for details.

October 5 we go to Chattanooga for the Carl Hurley/Jeanne Robertson comedy show. These people offer hilarious, clean fun! They are like no others. Make plans to go; the member price is only $74.

October 16-26 is the Tahiti Cruise. Prices vary according to cabin type preferred. Call for information. The Mediterranean cruise is November 11-20.

One of our Christmas Tours is November 15-18 to the Biltmore Mansion. Cost is $385 pp/dbl. Also, November 30-December 4 is the New Orleans Holiday, featuring four nights in the French Quarter. That price is $1,349 pp/dbl and includes air rates.

To finish up 2010 (can you believe it?) we’ll travel to Pasadena, Ca., Dec. 30 – Jan. 4, to welcome in the new year and to attend the Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year’s Day. Price (with air included) is $2,099 pp/dbl.

On the Road Again (day trips)

On July 24 we will visit the Red Chief Orchard near Gallatin and cruise the Cumberland River.

Non-members of FiftyForward pay a $5 fee, in addition to the trip cost, for each excursion.
