Spring: Music and Memories
In the past, Music and Memories has featured a wide variety of musical styles including our inaugural event with Grand Ole Opry legends Jim Ed Brown, Billy Walker and friends. The following years have featured jazz pianist Beegie Adair and the Wannabeatles, a local musical tribute band. In 2010 we were honored to have an ensemble of the Nashville Symphony perform with a special reception to “Meet and Greet” Maestro Giancarlo Guerrero. In 2011, our performance showcased JoDee Messina accompanied by ten Nashville Symphony musicians. Performances during the last six years consistently fill our multipurpose room with more than 250 guests in attendance.
In 2012, we were thrilled to partner with the Franklin Theatre to host our concert with the Sweethearts of the Rodeo as our guest performers. The concert opened with a “Meet and Greet” VIP reception at our beautiful center prior to the concert. Janis and Kristine were transported by limousine from their sound check at the Theatre to our Center in Brentwood to “Meet and Greet” our VIP sponsors at a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception. The band enjoyed relaxing in the green room of the Theatre prior to concert with Puckett’s Grocery providing food. The concert was just a few seats shy of being sold out. Franklin Theatre is a magical venue with exceptional acoustics. The event was extremely successful for everyone involved.
