Supporting Students in School
Cora Howe Exceptional
Exceptional students, grades K- 12, from all over Nashville, receive an individualized education. Students are nurtured and guided by a caring school staff and FiftyForward Foster Grandparent Program volunteers.
Brick Church College Prep.
This Lead Charter School serves fifth grade students, opening the door to future college success. Through tutoring, FiftyForward Foster Grandparent volunteers help children to bridge the academic gap.
East End College Prep.
This Lead Charter School serves children in K-1. Under the guidance of school staff, FiftyForward Foster Grandparent volunteers tutor children within the classroom to help prepare students for college.
Kirkpatrick Enhanced Option School
Serving children K-4 grade living in Cayce housing, Foster Grandparent volunteers work on early literacy skills along with social emotional development.
Napier Enhanced Option School
This community school serves children pre-k -4th grade from the Napier – Sudekum neighborhood. FiftyForward Foster Grandparent Program volunteers work on literacy skills and social skill building.
This new charter school in Nashville focuses on children in the Dickerson Road/Madison area. Foster Grandparents work with children in Kindergarten and first grade on literacy and social and emotional development.
Smithson Craighead Academy Elementary
This charter school works to bring about a brighter future for children at risk. FiftyForward Foster Grandparent Program volunteers assist with student growth in critical thinking, self discipline, and socialization.

Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church Child Learning Center
FiftyForward Foster Grandparent volunteers believe in the mission of Fifteenth Avenue. They tutor and mentor children to help stimulate and support physical, cognitive, social, and language development.
McNeilly Center for Children
Children are offered educational structure and stability through a well-rounded curriculum. FiftyForward Foster Grandparent Program volunteers nurture children by supporting social and emotional well-being.
Providing quality care for children ages 6 weeks and up, McNeilly staff and FiftyForward Foster Grandparent Program volunteers offer a nurturing, environment where children are given an important start in life.
Located in East Nashville, FiftyForward Foster Grandparent Program volunteers work with infants through preschool age children – providing additional educational support within a safe and stimulating environment.
Nashville Child Care
Located near the Madison area, NCC promotes children’s growth, development, and school readiness. FiftyForward Foster Grandparent Program volunteers help children ages 2-4 to build social and literacy skills.
Located adjacent to Temple Church in Bordeaux, FiftyForward Foster Grandparent Program volunteers serve children from birth to age four in a Christian setting – providing support and guidance for developing leaders.
