Unemployment rates continue to be at all-time lows. A recent article in The Tennessean noted that Nashville’s unemployment rate fell to a near 45-year low at 2.2%, the lowest of any major metro areas in the U.S.

What does that mean?

A powerful leadership team of staff, volunteers and community operate under the FiftyForward umbrella to offer what would be 15 smaller nonprofit agencies in other communities. This includes seven lifelong learning centers (two in Williamson County and five in Davidson County; five of which are accredited by the National Institutes of Senior Centers) as well as FiftyForward Supportive Care programs including FiftyForward Meals on Wheels and FiftyForward Adult Day Services and numerous volunteer opportunities.

Our most valuable assets are loyal and capable individuals who are committed to older adults and fulfilling our mission. FiftyForward hires and promotes individuals who best meet the requirements of available positions and have the potential for advancement.

FiftyForward has 75 (full-time and part-time) employees and approximately 2,500 volunteers who serve approximately 20,000 individuals and their families annually.

Background Checks

FiftyForward conducts background investigations and pre-employment drug screening and fingerprinting on all prospective employees. These investigations are conducted to ensure the safety and integrity of the FiftyForward workplace, programs and services.

All FiftyForward employees participate in an initial 90-day probationary period and adhere to policies including a drug free and non-smoking workplace, ethical standards, confidentiality, conflict of interest, welfare of agency participants and reporting of abuse, neglect or exploitation of customers.
