Located in FiftyForward Donelson Station, 108 Donelson Pike (between the train tracks and Lebanon Road), the Larry Keeton Theatre offers a full range of entertainment, learning, exhibition and performing experiences for both older adults and the community at large.
Named the Larry Keeton Theatre in honor of a community leader who has been a long-time supporter of both the center and the performing arts program, theater performances originate in the center’s auditorium. Past musicals include Annie, Spitfire Grill, Dream Girls, Steel Magnolias, Miracle on 34th Street, Hello Dolly, The Wizard of Oz, Mame and A Chorus Line.

To produce high-quality arts experiences for all ages of the community, dozens of center volunteers are involved in myriad activities from set design and construction, costume design and production, ticket sales,ushering, serving dinner, taking dance classes and performing as singers, dancers, and actors. They combine lifelong or new skills with long-held aspirations and the desire to give back; they experience positive, tangible results of their efforts.
The Larry Keeton Theatre gives Nashville area residents of all ages the thrill of live theater, provides exposure to other artistic experiences and showcases the talents of seniors – all at consistently affordable prices and in a safe and convenient location. The Theatre also offers learning and performance experiences not otherwise available in the community – including an inexpensive kids’ theater “camp” each summer that culminates in a production in which the young actors perform.
